Multi-stage fire protection
Rcharge E-Bike has been developed with an integrated multi-stage fire protection system where several safety systems work together to detect, limit and manage any fire in a lithium-ion battery.
Early detection
Each charging compartment is equipped with an individual smoke sensor that continuously monitors the compartment and quickly detects the development of smoke.
Automatic ventilation
Upon detection of smoke or fire, the integrated smoke hatch opens automatically to ventilate the fire gases, reduce pressure build-up and create controlled ventilation in the affected charging compartment.
Automatic extinguishing
The Rcharge E-Bike comes standard with an integrated PFAS-free aerosol extinguishing system.
Upon activation, a potassium-based aerosol is released that effectively inhibits the chemical combustion process and limits the development of the fire before it has a chance to spread.
Unlike water-based or foam-based extinguishing systems, the aerosol leaves no liquid damage and requires no external water supply. The system operates completely automatically and is integrated into the cabinet design.
